Our recording of the Walton String Quartets (released earlier this year) has been nominated for a 2011 Gramophone Award in the Chamber Music category. We are delighted to have been nominated for this award and thrilled that this recording, particularly of the early and unknown String Quartet, has been so well received across the press. We are delighted to announce that we have just been signed for local management in France by Satirino Classical Music Agency where we will be represented by Ian Malkin. For more information please visit: http://www.satirino.fr
Satirino join our big list of local management agencies that include London (Sulivan Sweetland – General Management), Berlin (EAS Musikmanagement), Copenhagen (Crescendi/Tivoli Artists), Amsterdam (KAMconcerten) and New York (William Reinert Associates inc.).
Back in July we returned to the recording studio to record our fourth CD for Chandos Records. We also returned to the music of Korngold with his Piano Quintet and String Sextet. This was a very exciting recording period as we were joined by three great friends and colleagues - Kathy Stott (piano), Jennifer Stumm (viola) and Bartholomew Lafollette (cello). We hope that the success that our recording of Korngold’s Quartets has had will also come to this new recording. These are two masterpieces that deserve to be heard more often. The CD will be released in early 2012.
